DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce the 2nd part of our virtual training series hosted by Advancing Pretrial Policy Research (APPR)! Join us for the second session\, Before and During the First Appearance Hearing\, on Thursday\, July 11\, 2024\, from 1PM to 3PM. The training will cover the role pretrial services may play before and during the first appearance hearing\, how pretrial assessments and other information may be used to inform pretrial decisions\, identify and describe legal principles underpinning a meaningful first appearance\, and differences between court-ordered sanctions and voluntary services. \nAPPF members are FREE to attend! \nThursday\, July 11\, 2024 • 01:00PM – 3:00PM EST \n30-minute Office Hour immediately following the training for questions and discussion with APPR. \nLocation:  Virtually via Zoom.
