The following position is open beginning January 1, 2019, and requires a 3-year term commitment.

Vice-President: The Vice-President shall perform all the duties and have the powers of the President in the absence of the latter. He/she may have other duties delegated to him/her by the President of the Board. The vice president shall be a signatory on the Association bank account(s).
Please submit candidate names to the Nominating Committee from October 23, 2018, through the close of business 5:00 p.m. EST on November 23, 2018. Candidates will then be contacted to confirm their interest in serving on the Board and submit a 150-word document outlining their qualifications.
Election of Officers and Directors
Officers of the Association shall be President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Communications Director, Vendor Liaison, Regional Directors, and all past presidents in good standing. To be elected as an officer a member must be in good standing with the Association. No officer on the board of directors may be elected to more than two (2) consecutive terms in the same office, except that an officer appointed to fill a vacancy shall be eligible for election to that office for two (2) consecutive terms. A term shall consist of a three (3) year commitment. One commissioner who represents APPF on the Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission (FCAC) shall be appointed by the President and confirmed by a two-thirds vote of the remaining members of the board. To be appointed as a commissioner a person must be a member in good standing of the Association for the preceding two years prior to the appointment. Additionally, to be appointed as a commissioner, the candidate must be a supervisor, manager or director of an agency that is either accredited or has initiated the accreditation process.
The Board of Directors shall continue to act in the best interest of the Association and may modify election procedures should cause arise.
