Awarded to APPF Member Joey Sterthaus, Volusia County Pretrial Services:

The Assessor of the Year Award honors an individual who demonstrates extraordinary support in furthering the Commission’s goals of assessing agencies fairly and effectively. When submitting a nomination, please be prepared to provide information regarding your nominee in the following areas:

  • Promoting cooperation and communication with candidate agency members, Commission staff, and onsite assessment team members
  • Quality and consistency of work product
  • Assessment participation
  • Demonstrated commitment to Commission’s principles, goals, and success

Nominations can be submitted by CEO, member’s Supervisor, assessors, Commissioner, or Commission staff by deadline.

• Team Leader of the Year Award

Awarded to APPF Member Amy Kinsey Lee County Criminal Division Director:

The Team Leader of the Year Award honors an individual who demonstrates extraordinary support and leadership in furthering the Commission’s goals of assessing agencies as well as effectively leading the assessment team. When submitting a nomination, please be prepared to provide information regarding your nominee in the following areas:

  • Leadership
  • Coaching and mentoring Assessors and Accreditation Managers
  • Quality of written final reports and panel review presentations
  • Demonstrated commitment to Commission’s principles, goals, and success
